Laura’s Freedom from Overactive/Leaky Bladder Inspirational Story...
I was filled with joy when my husband surprised me with airplane tickets to Key West for our 40th anniversary. However, the pleasure turned to dread when I thought about the multiple bathroom breaks I would have to take, and I'd have to make sure to pack my absorbent underwear on a romantic trip. It made me feel old. In addition, I would have to get the aisle seat on the plane to have easier access to the excessive bathroom breaks. But what about when we took sightseeing bus tours? There are no bathrooms on the bus, and I would have to constantly get off the bus and find a bathroom. Not so easy when you are in a strange town, and that wasn't the way I wanted to spend my vacation. I had to wear grown-up diapers because I couldn't even sneeze without an accident. I wanted to experience laughter on my vacation, but that made me leak too. I started having issues shortly after giving birth to my daughter and thought the problem would go away. It never did, and now I'm 60. I thought I would have to live with it. I'm a nurse, so I know what pills do to the liver, so I didn't want to take medicine forever as that would only mask the symptoms and not cure it. I suffered for many years until one day, I was surfing through the channels and found Functional Fitness with Suzanne Andrews on my local PBS stations. I couldn't believe it; exercises to control the bladder were being shown. At first, I thought, she's probably just going to show how to do kegals… but I have never been so happy to be wrong. There was so much more shown, and I could sit and do the entire session without ever having to get on the floor! Plus, all the exercises were demonstrated in a specific sequence and timed precisely so I could easily follow along. I felt so good after the first session. So I went to the website given at the end of the program and purchased the DVD, 30 Day Bladder Fix. But I was still skeptical. I wondered, "would this really work?" I saw the programs were recommended by doctors, so I thought, "why not give it a try?" Physical Therapy costs so much money. I could do this at home and save on gas and commute time. I started 45 days before my trip, and within just a couple of weeks, I was amazed! My bladder leakage became virtually non-existent. I could sleep through the night without having to get up to go to the bathroom. That alone was worth it. An unexpected benefit is I got rid of my brain fog and headaches caused by my nightly disrupted sleep. I'm so grateful for 30 Day Bladder Fix that spared me surgery and gave me back my life - I even feel 20 years younger because the exercises firmed up my legs and belly too! Suzanne's Response...
